Today we’re talking about these main characters: the old hares and the sly foxes. Because in the forest kindergartens it was “time to get out”.
Absolutely, we know our forests! We have just received the “Forest Experts” award from the German Forest Protection Association.
Emerging from a parents’ initiative over 15 years ago, we are strongly rooted and connected here. Our versatile team includes old hands as well as up-and-coming pedagogues. New ideas sprout every day. And our parents also make a great contribution. We like to share our experience with others, as a “consultation daycare centre”, as well as with the children. Hence, the motto of St. Martin’s Day was “Sharing Knowledge”. (And the things the children knew!)
This is education for sustainable development the way we live it.

We welcome every day together. What will happen next? We are curious and excited! Because from now on, we are guided by the children’s ideas, the weather, or whatever else we encounter along the way. One thing is for sure: at 10 o’clock, it’s time for a snack. Always. Because our day is shaped by fixed stations alternating with lots of space to play. Why not join us on our journey – we’d love to welcome you for a trial day!
With us, the children shape their everyday lives themselves. Their curiosity guides us. When a fire flares up, we try to fuel it. However, not every idea ignites. But in nature, “sparks” are everywhere – and a whole new game develops, and in the process, so does the child.
Caught fire?

Your child has found the right place with us?! Send us your enquiry at any time. Even though places are allocated for the following educational year in February/March, there is always a bit of leeway. So: it’s never too late or too early to get to know each other!
We are looking for COllaborative WORKERS (m/f/d): whether it is here in this facility or elsewhere with our sponsor institution – get involved where you can and let’s shape education together.
Our forest is always open: Your child is not of kindergarten age? No problem: the adventure of nature is always possible. Join the forest kids, our offer for school children, or the forest playgroup for children from 1-3 years of age with accompaniment.
Oh yes, of course you are never too old for the forest, too. As Astrid Lindgren put it: “There’s nothing in the Ten Commandments forbidding old ladies to climb trees, is there?”
So: We look forward to your visits – whether for work shadowing or on a trial day.
Education needs all of us! Our kindergarten thrives on close collaboration with people from a wide variety of backgrounds who contribute their ideas. From the public library, which we visit regularly, and our reading nanny, who visits us once a week, to the close cooperation with the primary school. We shape education together.
Are your ideas starting to sprout? Bring them on! No matter whether your association wants to work with us or you want to support us as a regional entrepreneur – we look forward to you soon being part of our network. And we too can enrich your everyday life.
