Pre-Christmas Season in the Daycares

20. December 2023

From plenty of snow fun and forest Christmas decorations to designing Advent calendars and visits from Santa Claus, to Christmas baking and crafting workshops, it included everything!

The early snow in Herrieden thrilled the forest children, leading to breakfast being postponed! First thing was sledding down the slope at the Bärenlochhütte at sunrise. After that, building snowmen and having snowball fights took priority… and then back to sledding, making it hard for the educators to keep up. Also popular: singing many Christmas songs, as they are also forest Christmas musicians.

In Pielenhofen, there’s a very special Christmas tree in the forest: The spruce between the fire pit and porch grows a bit each year, and before the Christmas celebration in the forest, the children decorate it with food for animals and birds. Whether carrots, nutshells, or fat balls – this sustainable and tasty tree decoration surely brings joy to the animals – and it looks beautiful too.

In Tegernheim, the ice mandalas on the trees sparkled in competition. Want to try it too? Just fill a plate with water, add a strip of crepe paper for coloring, place a piece of cord as a hook, let it freeze outside on the plate, carefully release it, and hang it on a branch.

Waffles or cookies, which tastes better? The EPGlinos diligently experimented in their Christmas bakery. Snowmen, glitter stars, or perhaps snowflakes? The tree decorations are ready – time for the Christmas tree (thanks to EPG and the BBF group). The self-made Advent calendar was also enthusiastically opened, and even our team received a homemade calendar from the parents – wow, thanks again for that!

We wish you all a beautiful, peaceful Christmas time with your family🎄
